Learn essential decorating basics such as leveling a cake, torting, filling, smoothing buttercream icing, piping drop flowers, leaves, sunflowers, rosettes, stars, loops, pulled stars, rope and shell borders, and how to transfer a design onto your cake. There will also be an introduction of how to pipe a buttercream rose on a flower nail.
You will need to supply your own materials for this course. On the first night of class, we will go over the supply list and make a buttercream recipe that you will need for the following weeks, along with how to assemble a piping bag with a coupler and decorating tip.
