Who knew you could do so much with strings? You will be amazed to learn that different cultures used string in all sorts of ways.  In this class, culture and history of different crafts will be discussed and taught such as, Kumihimo and other braiding, knotting techniques like macramé, mizuhiki, and nautical practices. You will also learn lace techniques like tatting and hairpin lace and other ornamental crafts like pin and thread art and wrapping. Knowing how to knot, weave and braid is not only useful, but can be used to make beautiful jewelry and home goods.   Materials Fee: $15 (cash only) is payable to the instructor on the first night of class.  4 weeks/8 hours
