The GYROKINESIS method is meant to expand and mobilize the body. It finds harmonization between movement, rhythm, and breath.
Half of the class is done on a chair or stool, focusing on nuanced spinal manipulations. The second half is done on a mat, continuing similar concepts while adding full body extensions and coordination. People find length, lightness, and supportive strength by the end of class.
