This course will cover the skills to design and construct a one-piece custom leather knife sheath. Hands on skills will include layout, template making, cutting, punching and stitching. Discussion will include shop safety, project planning material and tool purchasing, stamping and carving. This class consisting 2 3-hour sessions is a basic introduction into the world of leatherworking and offers a perfect opportunity for those who have completed the Railroad Spike Knife class to make a practical and safe way to store or carry their creation. Safety glasses are required equipment for the course, the instructor will provide needed tools and materials. More details will be emailed after the class roster has been filled. Materials fee $30 (cash only) payable to instructor on the first night of class.
