Introduction to Computers

This class is designed for the student who has Little to No computer experience. Students will cover understanding of physical computer parts and how they work, how to properly connect and use a mouse, keyboard, and monitor for their computer, how to turn their computer off and on, use and take advantage of the start menu, scroll up and down in different windows, move and close a window properly, understand basic computer technology. Additionally, we will use MS Word and/or Google Suite to create a letter, change size and color of text, make new folders and save files into them, and search the Internet using basic search methods. This will be accomplished through hands-on instructions, followed by projects, which will be given during class time to reinforce all concepts. Students should bring in their own USB drives to save their work if they wish to keep their assignments and completed work. Students will NOT be allowed to bring in their laptops.
