Introduction to Computers II

This class is designed for the student who has LITTLE or SOME computer experience. This course builds off of Introduction to Computers I (for those who took Computer I). Students will cover using and taking advantage of the start menu, creating folders and saving files into them, customizing and personalizing documents in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint, search the Internet using a variety of methods, bookmark websites, explore some popular websites, create and use an e-mail account, and create and use desktop shortcuts. This will be accomplished through hands-on instructions, followed by projects, which will be given during class time to reinforce all concepts. Students should bring in their own USB drives to save their work if they wish to keep their assignments and completed work. Students will NOT be allowed to bring in their laptops.
