Short Description: Students and working professionals alike will benefit from our online grant writing course. Over the course of this program, students learn the essential skills needed to research and write effective grant applications for public, private and government grants.

Over the course of this program, experienced grant writers with real world experience lead students step-by-step through grant writing processes that increase their chances of receiving funding.

Students enrolled in this course learn how to write compelling explanations, descriptions and intentional directions that persuade their readers.

Grant Research
Over the course of this module, you will study the various types of corporate, non-profit, education, and government grants that are available. You will also learn how to research a variety of funding sources and how to get started with the grant acquisition process.

Effective Grant Writing Techniques
In this teaching module, you'll receive instruction in technical writing and how to create grant proposals that incorporate the basic components of any good grant proposal - explanation, description and intentional direction.

Grant Writing 101
Grant Writing is at the heart of the nonprofit world, and Grant Writers remain in high demand. Philanthropy has remained strong in the United States. From large funders such as Bill and Melinda Gates to small funders, Grant Writers seek to secure funds for individuals. The Grant Writer provides a crucial connection between the person seeking grants and funders. Our course will allow students to gain a full understanding of grant writing from identifying potential grant seekers needing someone to write their grants to finding funders and building your own grant writing business. Basic grant writing is a critical skill for anyone seeking a position in a nonprofit organization or as a freelance grant writer. This course will provide our students with skills they can put to use immediately in their current grant writing position or to build a new career.

Technical Writing Skill
Students pursuing careers in highly competitive fields like the sciences, education, and those looking to begin a career as a professional grant writer will benefit from this module. Topics covered in this module include style and purpose.

Advanced Grant Writing Techniques
In this module, students learn how to develop successful and highly fundable grant proposals. The module also includes a separate lesson covering the potential pitfalls of the grant writing process.

Instructor Description: Though this program is a self-paced program it is supported by an educational mentor. Educational mentors are subject matter experts who have years of experience in their field as well as the necessary educational training and credentials to work as an expert. The mentor is available to answer any questions a learner may have including questions on course content, course material, certifications, and even industry questions. Mentors also monitor the progress of learners to ensure training retention and program advancement. In eLearning, motivation is a key tool to success. Because of this, mentors provide encouraging comments, feedback, and coaching to motivate learners throughout the duration of the program to support completion and success!
