Topics covered include DMAIC and DMADV deployment models, data-driven management, process behavior charts, and the phases, tools, and techniques of the Six Sigma methodology. Each Six Sigma project carried out within an organization follows a defined sequence of steps and has quantified financial targets. This course explores quality management methods, including statistical methods, key organizational tips, and methods for plotting growth and performing at peak efficiency for maximum profits. Upon successful completion of this course, students will be eligible to apply for the Six Sigma Black Belt Certification Exam program. To apply to the Six Sigma Black Belt Certification Program students must complete an application and submit the application to our Six Sigma counsel for approval. Successfully completing this course does not guarantee approval for certification. This course prepares students to sit for any industry certification if all required experience/project requirements are met.
Instructor Description: Though this program is a self-paced program it is supported by an educational mentor. Educational mentors are subject matter experts who have years of experience in their field as well as the necessary educational training and credentials to work as an expert. The mentor is available to answer any questions a learner may have including questions on course content, course material, certifications, and even industry questions. Mentors also monitor the progress of learners to ensure training retention and program advancement. In eLearning, motivation is a key tool to success. Because of this, mentors provide encouraging comments, feedback, and coaching to motivate learners throughout the duration of the program to support completion and success!
Certification: Upon successful completion of this course students will sit for the MindEdge SIx Sigma Black Belt Certification Exam. The certification exam is included in the course.
To apply to MindEdge's Six Sigma Black Belt Certification Program students must complete an application and submit the application to our Six Sigma counsel. Please contact your Education Mentor when you are ready to apply for your Six Sigma Black Belt Certification for instructions on how to complete and submit your application.
To secure MindEdge's Six Sigma Black Belt Certification, practitioners must demonstrate mastery of Six Sigma by completing a timed online assessment and providing details of a Six Sigma project they are involved in.
The four-hour, timed assessment tests an individual's competency and comprehension of Six Sigma principles, strategies, tools, and techniques. This exam includes multiple-choice and essay questions, and covers all aspects of the DMAIC methodology and its implementation. Questions are posed in several configurations that ask test takers to identify, calculate, analyze, and apply their knowledge, to demonstrate their ability to perform as important members of improvement teams.
If practitioners successfully complete the exam assessment, they are then asked to provide information and updates for a new or ongoing project they are immersed in. The information and updates will be evaluated by a panel of experts who may ask questions or request additional information to ensure that participants are well versed and able to successfully complete a Six Sigma project, before certification can be conferred.
