Have you always thought about trying watercolor painting? Here’s an enjoyable and informative course that will get you well on your way. It begins with an introduction to watercolor paints and supplies and moves to basic techniques. This course is geared for beginners and advanced watercolor students. The course will introduce four basic wash techniques, positive and negative painting, basic color tips and color wheel tips. The atmosphere of the class is relaxed and encouraging. Please bring the following supplies on the first night of class: Watercolor paints, brushes and paper. This can be purchased at Walmart, Michael’s or Amazon, between $10-$25. For beginners just purchase the basic supplies, nothing expensive, but try to get Strathmore paper in pads. We’ll go over different paints, paper and brushes in class. You will also need the following: a palette for mixing your paints, #4 pencil, soft white eraser, ruler, water container, small squirt bottle (for water) paper towels, sponge and color wheel. 10 weeks/20 hours.
