Introduction to Accounting for Non-accounting Majors

This course is for non-accounting majors and is aimed at serving future bookkeepers with little or no prior accounting knowledge. In this eight-class course, students will learn basic accounting theory and applications from the first transaction through the post-closing trial balance and publication of the financial statements. Accounting allows a business to both convey how well it has performed and evaluate how it can improve. Understanding the language of accounting allows you to communicate with the accountants and financial professionals in any organization.
