Short Description: This program is designed for people who have no experience in the healthcare industry but want to enter it and make a successful career for themselves. By completing this program, you can secure entry-level clinical medical administrator positions. However, if you’re already a professional in the healthcare industry, you can use this course to enhance your existing skills and expand your knowledge of the field.
This interactive and multimedia-rich program will teach students:
• Clinical and interpersonal skills needed for Medical Administrative Assistants
• Skills required to handle and organize paperwork in the administration department
• Skills required to operate as Electronic Health Records Specialists
• Medical and billing codes used for ICD-10 and ICD-9,
• The skills and knowledgerequired to operate as medical Billing and Coding Specialists
Once you complete the program, you can work as a clinical administrator and you’ll be awarded exam vouchers and prep material for the following certifications:
1. Certified Billing and Coding Specialist (CBCS) Certification by the National Healthcareer Association
2. Certified Medical Administrative Assistant
3. Certified Electronic Health Records Specialist
Besides patient contact, a clinical administrator also works with insurance companies to handle billing, manage information systems to monitor patients’ records, and keep track of medical equipment. So, with the right qualifications, skills, and knowledge, you can constantly move up the ladder in the industry and make a successful career for yourself.

Instructor Description: This class supported by an Educational Mentor. Educational mentors have worked or are working in the subject they mentor. Educational Mentors review student work, student progress, and interact with students as needed. They respond to any questions or concerns you might have, as well as encouraging and motivating you to succeed.

Certification: Upon successful completion of this program students will be prepared to sit for the National Health Career Association (NHA) national certification examinations for a Billing and Coding Specialists (CBCS), Medical Administrative Assistant (CMAA), and Certified Electronic Health Records Specialists (CEHRS).
Each state may have additional licensing requirements, be sure to research your states requirements for employment by visiting your states occupation board.
