Short Description: Effective, healthy workplaces establish programs to help ensure that workers operate in a safe manner that minimizes injuries. No matter how safe a workplace may be, there is always a risk that someone may suffer a work-related injury or illness. When this occurs, workers are protected from high medical bills and lost wages through a system of state and federal workers’ compensation programs; this course discusses those programs.

Instructor Description: This class is an independent-study course.  Students will have all the resources needed to successfully complete the course within the online material.  A student helpdesk is available for technical support during the course enrollment.
